Scientific Compass UP displays bibliometric figures from several sources. Each source has its own licensing terms, which determine what may be shown and on which access tier.
Data sources
The attributions required by the licences are given below in the exact wording delivered by the manifest of the active data version. The portal neither edits nor translates them.
Web of Science (Clarivate)
AIS and JIF values and the bands derived from them come from Web of Science data (Clarivate). This data is licensed for internal university use under Palacký University Olomouc’s subscription and is not redistributed publicly; it is available only from the UP network or over VPN. The university’s licence agreement with the data provider is decisive.
This note applies only to the institutional access tier.
Metric licensing framework
Which metric may be shown on which access tier follows from the licences of the original sources. A detailed assessment of the licensing basis for each metric is available in the metric licensing document.
Open-source code of the portal
The portal’s source code is developed in the open. The code of the portal itself is separate from the data licences of what it displays.
